US President Donald Trump again pledged a military victory over the forces of “death and destruction” and “radical Islamic terrorism,” in a speech Monday to the US military.

“Today we send a message with one voice to the forces of death and destruction: the United States and its allies will defeat them. (…) We will defeat radical Islamic terrorism and we will not allow it to take root in our country, “said the president.

In his aggressive address to the military, Trump said the United States faces “an enemy that celebrates death and destruction.”

For Trump, the radical Islamist group “is campaigning for genocide, committing atrocities around the world. Radical Islamic terrorists are determined to attack our country. ”

According to the US president, “no enemy has a chance against our forces. Not even a chance. And it will continue to be that way. “

Trump made these statements at Mac Dill Air Force Base in Florida, a nerve center and headquarters of the US military command for the Middle East (Cent-com) and headquarters of the US Special Forces.

The president had spent the weekend at his private residence in the state of Florida and visited the airbase before returning to Washington.

Trump shared a luncheon with military leaders and soldiers.
