The appointment-to-be of Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court was one that caused huge amounts of controversy, especially when allegations of his sexual misconduct surfaced. Kavanaugh survived a close vote to be successful in his appointment, but a huge percentage of the US population remained unhappy about it. Now a group of US witches are planning to place a hex on the controversial high court judge.
There will be a ‘public cursing’ of Judge Kavanaugh on November 3rd, at a location in Brooklyn, New York. Already, more than 1,300 tickets have been sold for the event
New York witches aim to curse newly-appointed high-court judge
According to the witches: “[We aim to place a hex on] Brett Kavanaugh and upon all rapists and the patriarchy which emboldens, rewards and protects them. We will be embracing witchcraft’s true roots as the magic of the poor, the downtrodden and disenfranchised and it’s history as often the only weapon, the only means of exacting justice available to those of us who have been wronged by men just like him.
“He will be the focal point, but by no means the only target, so bring your rage and and all of the axes you’ve got to grind. There will also be a second ritual afterward – ‘The Rites of the Scorned One’ which seeks to validate, affirm, uphold and support those of us who have been wronged and who refuse to be silent any longer.”
All proceeds for the black magic events with go to woman and LGBT charities
The event will take place at Catland Books, a ‘metaphysical boutique and occult bookshop’ accoring to the event’s page on Facebook. The co-owner of the bookstore, Dakota Bracciale, explained “basically, it’s all about causing suffering, and we intend to make Kavanaugh suffer.”
Tickets to the event cost $10 and all proceeds will go to female and LGBT charities. A group of Catholics and exorcist have said they have plans of their own “for the protection of Kavanaugh.”
