A 75-year-old woman died Monday in New York’s Queens County and her son with disabilities was injured by a dog attack they had recently adopted, local media reported.
The victim, Louise Herminda, was brutally attacked by the mastiff she had recently adopted from the American Association for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, but was planning to return it because the dog way way too aggressive, according to ABC.
The woman died today at 6:00 a.m. ET at the Presbyterian Hospital in New York, while her son, a 39-year-old man with autism,also suffered injuries, although his life is not in danger.
The pet dog was sedated by agents of the Canine Police unit in New York and is now in the custody of the authorities and they did not clarify what measures will be carried out to the dog.
