Miami – Firefighters said two workers died Sunday morning in a construction accident on Interstate 95.

The tragedy occurred near the exit of 62nd Street in the Northwest lanes. 

The Florida Highway Police (FHP) said a concrete barrier collapsed and fell on the men who worked on the highway separator.

Colleagues of the deceased told authorities that the men, who were between 20 and 29 years old, have been repairing the drainage pipes.

Express lanes were closed from 8:30 in the morning, but he general purpose lanes were kept opened.
