Hillary Clinton makes a point during panel discussion

Maybe that’s why The New York Times, always a redoubtable defender of all things Hillary, trotted out a lurid tale of misogynistic horrors miles beyond the realm of decency. In last Saturday’s edition of “All the News That Hillary Considers Fit to Print,” the Times took aim at Donald Trump’s romantic past with “Crossing the Line: How Donald Trump Behaved with Women in Private.” He noticed the Miss Universe pageant contestants’ looks! He called a woman “dear!” That’s almost as sexist as Chris Matthews’ inner monologue whenever he sees Melania Trump! And the Times had the proof in black and white; testimony from the victims of Trump’s anti-woman assaults.

Except maybe not so much. Less than 48 hours after the Times dropped the bombshell which was sure to reshape the 2016 campaign in Hillary’s favor, one of the victims of Trump’s anti-woman assaults popped up and promptly nuked the Old Gray Lady’s defense of the other old, gray lady. According to the Times’ star “source,” Rowanne Brewer-Lane, the Times deliberately mischaracterized her comments. Said Ms. Brewer-Lane, “They have an agenda to make Trump look unfavorable at this point in the race,” adding Trump “…never made me feel like I was being demeaned in any way, he never offended me in any way.”

It’s almost enough to make me wonder if the Times might actually be pulling for The Donald. Hillary has never been able to shed her husband’s baggage. And the bullhorn piece, which didn’t even prove that Trump was more than the occasional jerk, turned the spotlight right back onto Hillary. Moreover, it lit up the guy who sometimes stands next to her; former President Bill Clinton.

In an attempt to make Trump’s love life a campaign issue, the Times opened the window to Hillary’s own treatment of women. And any discussion of Hillary’s affairs of the heart has to include her husband’s affairs of the — er… — sub-heart region. After all, she rode his bathrobe-tails to the big time, so she surely noticed the many women she and her man bulldozed along the way. Hillary is fond of using former Secretary of State Madeline Albright’s platitude “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.” Yet Hillary partook — often gleefully — in the brutal ruination of the lives of women who got too close to Bill’s orbit; from the “bimbo eruptions” onward. Therefore, I’d say Nana has four decades’ worth of explaining to do… especially now that the Times has decided Trump owes the same.

And the blow back from the Times’ smear attempt is worse than you thought. New reports prove that the former President spent an inordinate amount of quality time with convicted sex offender and pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. That’s right, kiddies: The man who ruined blue dresses for a generation never hung up his perv-spurs. He’s been a passenger on Epstein’s “Lolita Express” nearly 30 times. Bubba’s reserved seat on a plane literally designed to serve as an airborne child molest-atorium, combined with his Lothario past, have maxed out Hillary’s “woman card.”

According to Hillary Clinton, “Every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed and supported.” And yet, she has willingly ignored, denied and undermined multiple survivors of her husband’s near-half century of sexual assaults. The New York Times says Trump is the real lecher of 2016, but they couldn’t find a single woman who claims to have been assaulted by the man, despite exhaustive investigating. Maybe their next effort could be “Crossing the Line: How Bill Clinton Behaved with Women in Public AND Private; and how Hillary Clinton Didn’t Care.”
