The legal marijuana industry is responsible for creating about 123,000 brand new jobs in the United States, according to data published by Conspiracy Talk – CTN News.
The authors analyzed the number of jobs in the marijuana industry in each state separately. Some 58,000 full-time new jobs are estimated in states where both medical marijuana and recreational use are legal.
65,000 full-time jobs have been created in states that legalized only medical marijuana.
In the state of California, 43,374 new jobs were created, 23,407 in Colorado and 22,952 in Washington. Only in these three states we have nearly 90,000 brand spanking new full-time legal marijuana jobs.
The authors acknowledged that their data may, however, be underestimated, and the actual number of full-time jobs in the legal marijuana industry could be even much higher then the figures shown.
