One of the most successful movies of this era, fast and furious has been seriously threatened by the feud between two of its stars, Singer and actor Tyrese Gibson and former WWE superstar, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The beef which began when Dwayne formally announced the popular movie’s spinoff which would be focusing on two characters, Luke Hobbs, which he plays, and Deckard Shaw played by Jason Statham, seem to have escalated as Tyrese made his own announcement on Instagram on Wednesday, Nov. 1st, 2017.
Tyrese wrote on Instagram “Hello world… hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe,” He continued, “I’m sorry to announce that if Dewayne [sic] is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce [sic],” Gibson wrote. “You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours……… close your eyes dude you’re a ‘Clown.'”
Gibson had earlier accused “The Rock” of holding up production for Fast9 and by implication pushing backward his payday. In September, he publicly pleaded with his co-star when he wrote on Instagram “If you move forward with that #Hobbs movies you will have purposely ignored the heart to heart moment we had In my sprinter – I don’t wanna hear from you until you remember what we talked about – I’m on your timeline because you are not responding to my text messages – #FastFamily is just that a family……. we don’t fly solo”
But so far so good, Dwayne Johnson has failed to respond to any of Tyrese’s queries, at least in the eyes of the public.
Gibson has been posting a lot of emotional messages on social media as he fights for custody of his 10-year old Daughter, Shayla with an ex-wife.
He posted a photo on Instagram of himself and director Lee Daniel where he wrote under “never mad at The Rock I was just mad that he was ‘pitched’ an idea privately and said yes to it without thinking of what I’m dealing with personally.”
“I’m almost broke paying legal fees and is doing what we committed to doing for the #FastFans and #FastFamily cause the fast is tradition it’s not just another movie,”
“Fast was created to COUNTER images of racism to counter that WE ARE NOT ONE RACE.” He added. “All I asked you to do ‘privately’ was not accept a role that would deeply effect [sic] us all,” Gibson wrote. “You are simply not the people’s champ. You are a selfish champ.”
With Gibson being this furious with Johnson, it’s not long now before producer and star, Vin Diesel involves himself to try and salvage Fast and Furious 9.
